i was introduced to this record after repeated plays in a record store i worked in whilst living in australia.
a small , nerd like man called dave with agoatee beard played this frequently . i soon fell in love with it.
they just dont do covers like this anymore. shame that.

I had the privilege of hearing "El Paso" on endless repeat on what used to be called a -music centre- whilst suffering the degradations of a bottle of Bushmills. After, bugger it I lost count of how many times it kept playing that record, a while I had to drag myself out of bed to the hallway otf the flat I was sharing and kick the record player to sleep(felt good too). i can't say i share your enthusiasm for Mr Robbins. Have you ever thought that endless exposure to something makes you end up thinking you like something? It worked for the national socialists in Germany. Seems to work for legions of Robbie Willams fans too.
